Download an AltHistory forum story as an EPUB for your reading app. WP Downloader collects the threadmarked chapters from the story thread and combines them into one book. The tool is free, runs in your browser, and does not require an AltHistory account.
How to download an AltHistory story
Open the AltHistory thread for the story. Its URL should look like
https://althistory.com/threads/some-story-name.123456/.Copy the full URL from your browser’s address bar.
Paste it into the download form above. EPUB is selected by default.
Choose whether to include the story’s images.
Start the download. WP Downloader will collect the threadmarked chapters into a single EPUB.
For AltHistory, WP Downloader downloads the whole story. Individual chapters and thread lists are not supported. If the author publishes more chapters, paste the link again and download a new copy. WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an EPUB you already have.
You can also use the AltHistory downloader to choose from the available formats.
What the EPUB contains
The EPUB contains the story chapters marked with threadmarks in the AltHistory forum thread. EPUB downloads are free for everyone.
To download a PDF instead, use the AltHistory to PDF converter. PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
WP Downloader’s AltHistory support was ported from FanFicFare, an open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache-2.0. The full supported sites list includes the other fiction archives, forums, and web-novel sites available through WP Downloader.
Signing in to AltHistory
You do not need to sign in. Paste the public story thread URL into the form, and WP Downloader will collect its threadmarked chapters.
WP Downloader only downloads content available from the story link. It does not bypass paywalls, locked content, or age restrictions.
