How to Read AltHistory Stories on a Kobo

Download the AltHistory story as an EPUB

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. WP Downloader can also create a PDF, which requires a free Discord sign-in, but Kobo already supports EPUB.
For AltHistory, WP Downloader downloads the whole story. It cannot download an individual chapter or a list of stories. If the author posts more chapters, download the story again to create a new EPUB. WP Downloader cannot update the existing file.

Put the EPUB on your Kobo with USB
When you connect your Kobo to a computer by USB, it appears as a drive. Copying the EPUB to that drive adds the book to your Kobo library.
- Connect your Kobo e-reader to your computer with USB.
- Open the Kobo drive on your computer.
- Copy the downloaded EPUB onto the drive.
- Eject the Kobo safely.
- Disconnect it and open your Kobo library.
The AltHistory story should appear with your other books. You can open it like any other EPUB and read it without returning to the forum thread.
Add the book with Dropbox or Google Drive
Kobo Forma, Kobo Sage, Kobo Elipsa, Kobo Elipsa 2E, and Kobo Libra Colour can receive non-protected EPUB and PDF files through Dropbox or Google Drive.
Dropbox requires Kobo software version 4.18 or later. Google Drive requires version 4.37 or later.
Link the cloud account from your Kobo, place the EPUB in the connected cloud folder, and sync the e-reader. To link Google Drive, go to Home, More, My Google Drive, and Get Started. Your Kobo will display a code to enter on the Kobo website.
After linking the account:
- Add the AltHistory EPUB to the connected cloud folder.
- Sync your Kobo e-reader.
- Open the imported book from your library.
A book added through Dropbox or Google Drive appears only on the Kobo where you added it. If your model does not support these cloud services, transfer the EPUB by USB.
Keep your AltHistory story available offline
Once the EPUB is in your Kobo library, you can read it offline. This can be useful when you prefer a dedicated reading screen or will not have a reliable internet connection.
