WP Downloader is a free web tool that saves complete Lumos stories as EPUB or PDF files for offline reading. It runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install.
How to download a Lumos story
- Open the story on Lumos. Its address should look like
http://lumos.sycophanthex.com/viewstory.php?sid=1234. - Copy the full link from your browser’s address bar.
- Paste the link into the download form at the top of this page.
- Choose EPUB or PDF, then choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Follow the prompts to create and download the book.
Lumos downloads contain the whole story. WP Downloader does not support individual chapters or story lists from this site.
Available formats
EPUB is free for everyone and works with many ebook readers and devices.
PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. Its fixed page layout may suit you better if you plan to read or print the story as a PDF.
You can include the story’s images in either format. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
Your file contains the version of the story available when you download it. If the author adds or changes chapters later, paste the link into WP Downloader again and create a new copy. The tool cannot update an EPUB you have already downloaded.
Lumos support was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache-2.0. WP Downloader also supports other fiction archives, which you can browse on the supported sites page.
Lumos sign-in
You do not need a Lumos account to download a story. Paste a valid public Lumos story link into the form, and WP Downloader will fetch the complete story.
WP Downloader only downloads content that is already available to read. It does not bypass paywalls, locked content, or age restrictions.
