How to Read Lumos Stories on a tolino eReader
To read a Lumos story on a tolino eReader, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to the Books folder on your tolino. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so there is nothing to install.
What you need
Have these ready:
- The Lumos story page in your browser
- A computer
- Your tolino eReader
- A USB-C cable
Lumos hosts English-language stories at lumos.sycophanthex.com. Story links follow this format:

Step 1: Copy the Lumos story link
Open the story on Lumos and copy its full address from your browser’s address bar.
WP Downloader downloads complete Lumos stories. It does not download individual chapters or lists from this site, so use the main story link even if the story has several chapters.
Step 2: Download the story as an EPUB
Open the Lumos downloader, paste the story link into the box, and start the download.
WP Downloader detects that the link is from Lumos and downloads the whole story. Select EPUB because tolino eReaders support that format. You can also choose whether to include the story’s images.

Step 3: Connect your tolino to the computer
Connect the tolino to your computer with its USB-C cable. Wait for the computer to detect the reader before opening its storage.
The tolino vision 6, shine 4, and epos 3 use MTP for USB transfers. These models may appear as connected devices instead of removable drives. Open the device to view its folders.
Step 4: Copy the EPUB to the Books folder
Find the EPUB on your computer, open the tolino’s storage, and locate the Books folder. Copy the EPUB into that folder.
Wait until the file has finished copying before you unplug the tolino. Once the transfer is complete, disconnect the reader. The Lumos story is now available on your tolino as an EPUB for offline reading.
Getting new chapters
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded. When a Lumos story is updated, download the whole story again and copy the new EPUB to your tolino.
You can remove the older copy after the new file has finished transferring if you do not want both versions on the reader.
