How to download Lumos stories as EPUB or PDF

WP Downloader can save a complete Lumos story as an EPUB or PDF. It is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything or sign in to Lumos.

Download a Lumos story with WP Downloader

Open the Lumos story downloader. You can also use the box on the WP Downloader home page, which detects that the link comes from Lumos.

Open the story on lumos.sycophanthex.com.
Copy its full URL from your browser’s address bar.
Paste the URL into WP Downloader.
Choose EPUB or PDF.
Choose whether to include the story’s images.
Start the download.

WP Downloader downloads the whole story. It cannot download a single Lumos chapter or a list of stories.

What does a Lumos story URL look like?

Copy the address of the story page. A Lumos story URL looks like this:

http://lumos.sycophanthex.com/viewstory.php?sid=1234

Your story will usually have a different number after sid=, so copy its URL instead of editing the example.

Do you need to sign in?

You do not need to sign in to Lumos.

EPUB is free for everyone. Creating a PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

WP Downloader only downloads material that is already available to read. It does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.

Should you choose EPUB or PDF?

Choose EPUB if you want the format available without signing in. Choose PDF if you prefer that format and are willing to sign in with Discord.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Open the story on your phone, tablet, or computer

After downloading the story, open the EPUB or PDF with an app that supports that format.

Put the story on an ereader

These guides cover reading the downloaded story on an ereader:

For more help, see the Lumos offline reading guide.

Download the story again when it changes

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded. If the story changes, paste its URL into WP Downloader again and download a new copy.
