How to Read Lumos Stories on a PocketBook E-Reader
To read a Lumos story on a PocketBook e-reader, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader, then transfer the file by email or USB. PocketBook supports both formats, though EPUB is usually the better fit for a story.
Download a Lumos story with WP Downloader
WP Downloader is a free web tool, with nothing to install. It supports English-language stories from Lumos at lumos.sycophanthex.com, and no Lumos sign-in is required.

- Open the Lumos downloader.
- Copy the story link.
- Paste it into the downloader box.
- Choose EPUB or PDF.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Download the file to your phone or computer.
EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
WP Downloader downloads the complete story from Lumos. It does not download individual chapters or lists of stories. It only downloads content that is available at the link and does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
If the author adds more chapters, download the story again. WP Downloader creates a new ebook instead of updating the EPUB already on your PocketBook.

Send the EPUB with Send-to-PocketBook
Send-to-PocketBook gives you a personal email address for transferring files to your e-reader.
Set up your PocketBook address
On your PocketBook:
- Open Settings.
- Select Accounts and synchronization.
- Choose Send-to-PocketBook.
- Sign in and follow the instructions in the activation email.
After activation, you will receive a personal email address ending in @pbsync.com.
Email the story to your reader
Attach the EPUB or PDF from WP Downloader to an email and send it to your @pbsync.com address. Sync your PocketBook to receive the file.
If the book does not appear, check whether the email address you sent it from is on the approved list. Send-to-PocketBook may ask you to whitelist the address before accepting the attachment. Approve the address, resend the file, and sync the reader again.
When the transfer is complete, open the story from your PocketBook library.
Copy the story to your PocketBook over USB
You can use USB if you prefer not to send the file by email or the attachment is not reaching your PocketBook.
- Connect your PocketBook to the computer where you downloaded the story.
- Open the PocketBook’s storage.
- Copy the EPUB or PDF to the device.
- Disconnect the reader after the transfer finishes.
- Find the story in your PocketBook library and open it.
A USB transfer does not require a Send-to-PocketBook address.
Which format should you choose?
PocketBook e-readers support both EPUB and PDF. EPUB is a standard ebook format and usually works well for stories. Choose PDF if you specifically want a PDF copy, keeping in mind that WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in for that format.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. PocketBook can read either of the formats it does provide.
