Read a Lumos Story in Google Play Books
To read a Lumos story in Google Play Books, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and upload the file to Play Books. You can then read it on the web or in the Android, iPhone, or iPad app.
Download the Lumos story as an EPUB
WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. Open the Lumos downloader and copy the link to the story you want.
A Lumos story link looks like this:

Choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB downloads are free for everyone, and you can choose whether to include the story’s images.
You can also download the story as a PDF, which requires a free Discord sign-in. Google Play Books accepts DRM-free EPUB and PDF files.
WP Downloader downloads complete Lumos stories. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories from the site. If the author adds chapters later, download the story again to make a new EPUB. WP Downloader cannot update a file you already downloaded.

Upload the EPUB to Google Play Books
After the download finishes, find the EPUB file. You can upload it in any of these ways:
- Upload the file from your computer through the Google Play Books website.
- Select the file from Google Drive through the Google Play Books website.
- Upload the file through the Google Play Books Android app.
If you plan to read on an iPhone or iPad, upload the file through the Play Books website on a computer. Once it is in your library, you can open it in the iPhone or iPad app.
Very large EPUB or PDF files may reach Google’s upload size limit.
Read the Lumos story on your device
Once the upload is complete, find the story in your Google Play Books library.
On Android
Open the Google Play Books app, find the uploaded story, and tap it to start reading. If the EPUB is saved on your phone, you can also upload it through the Android app.
On iPhone or iPad
Open the Google Play Books app and find the uploaded story in your library. Tap the book to open it.
In a web browser
Open Google Play Books on the web and select the uploaded story from your library.
Choose EPUB or PDF
EPUB is free to create with WP Downloader and can be uploaded to Google Play Books. PDF also works with Play Books, but creating one with WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in.
