How to Track Lumos Stories on Goodreads or The StoryGraph

You can track a Lumos story by finding or creating a Goodreads record, checking The StoryGraph, or adding the downloaded EPUB to your own calibre library.

Download the Lumos story

WP Downloader is a free web tool that requires no installation. You do not need a Lumos account to download a story.

1. Open the story on lumos.sycophanthex.com.
2. Copy its full story URL. It should look similar to this:

3. Open the Lumos story downloader.
4. Paste the story link into the box.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the story as an EPUB.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. WP Downloader can also make a PDF if you sign in with a free Discord account. It does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Track the story on Goodreads

Most fanfiction and web serials are missing from the Goodreads database. Search for the Lumos story before creating a record.

If the story is already listed

Search Goodreads using the story’s title and author. Check the result carefully because similar titles may belong to different works. If you find the correct record, use it to track your reading as usual.

If the story is not listed

Eligible Goodreads members can add a book manually at goodreads.com/book/new. Your account must have a verified email address and cannot be brand new.

You need at least:

• The story title
• The author

Enter the title and author shown on the Lumos story page. Goodreads librarians handle later edits and merge duplicate records.

You can create the record in a web browser on a phone or computer. The EPUB stays on your device for reading, while the Goodreads record keeps track of the work.

Track the story on The StoryGraph

Search The StoryGraph for the story’s title and author. Its database may not include the Lumos story, particularly if the work is fanfiction or a web serial.

If you find the correct entry, use it for your reading history. If the story is missing, check The StoryGraph’s current help pages. The service does not publish clear official instructions for adding works that are not books, so do not assume that the Goodreads process applies there.

Keep a Lumos reading list in calibre

If neither service has the story, you can keep your own reading list in calibre. This free e-book manager is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Each downloaded EPUB can also serve as the story’s record in your calibre library.

To add a story:

1. Download the complete Lumos story as an EPUB with WP Downloader.
2. Open calibre and select Add books.
3. Choose the EPUB you downloaded.
4. Edit its metadata or cover if needed.
5. Keep the book in your calibre library as part of your reading list.

Calibre can convert EPUB files to formats such as AZW3, MOBI, or PDF. This can help when your preferred device needs a format that WP Downloader does not create.

Use Goodreads or The StoryGraph if the correct story record already exists. Eligible Goodreads members can create a missing record with the story’s title and author. If neither platform has a suitable entry, add the EPUB to calibre and manage it in your own library.
