How to download an AO3 story
Open the story on Archive of Our Own and copy its URL. A work link usually looks like
https://archiveofourown.org/works/123456.Paste the link into the download form at the top of this page. WP Downloader accepts links from
archiveofourown.org,archiveofourown.com, andarchiveofourown.net.Choose EPUB or PDF. You can also include the story’s images.
Start the download and wait for WP Downloader to prepare the complete story.
WP Downloader downloads whole AO3 works, not individual chapters or lists. When a work gets new chapters, download it again to get a new copy with the available chapters.

Both formats can include the story’s images. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Signing in to Archive of Our Own
You do not need to sign in for public AO3 stories. An optional Archive of Our Own sign-in gives WP Downloader access to members-only stories that your account can read.
WP Downloader uses your account credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass paywalls, locked content, account requirements, or age restrictions. It only downloads content already available to your account.
FAQ
Can I download a single AO3 chapter?
No. WP Downloader downloads the whole story from a work link. It does not download individual chapters or lists from Archive of Our Own.
Can I update an EPUB when new chapters appear?
No. WP Downloader cannot update an existing EPUB. Paste the story link into the AO3 downloader again to download a new copy with the chapters currently available.
Do I need an AO3 account?
Public stories do not require an account. You can sign in with your Archive of Our Own account to download a members-only story that your account can read.
Why is my AO3 story not downloading?
Make sure you pasted an AO3 work URL instead of a chapter or list link. If the story is members-only, sign in with an account that can access it. Visit the help page for more troubleshooting advice.
