Download an AO3 story with WP Downloader
Copy the link to the story you want to save. An Archive of Our Own story link usually looks like this:

EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

Read the story offline on a phone
Download the EPUB or PDF to your phone, or move it there from another device.
Find the file in your downloads or file manager and open it with an app that supports the format. Once the file is stored on your phone, you can read that copy without opening the Archive of Our Own page.
Keep the file if you want to read it again. When the story gets new chapters, return to WP Downloader and download a new copy.
Read the story offline on a tablet

- Open or import it in a compatible reading app.
- Make sure the story opens before going offline.

Read the story offline on a computer
Save the EPUB or PDF somewhere easy to find, such as your downloads folder.
Open an EPUB in a compatible ebook reader or a PDF in a PDF reader. The story is stored as a local file, so you can read it without loading the Archive of Our Own page.
If you read on several devices, keep track of which download is newest. WP Downloader creates a new book each time instead of adding chapters to an existing file.
Before going offline
Open the downloaded story at least once. Check that it is the work you intended to save. If you chose to include images, make sure they appear in the book.
A download of an unfinished story contains only the chapters available at the time. Download the story again when you want a newer copy.
