What the downloader supports
WP Downloader saves the complete English-language story as a PDF. For Archive of Our Own, it downloads whole stories rather than individual chapters or lists of stories.
If you prefer EPUB, use the AO3 to EPUB downloader. EPUB is free for everyone, while PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
Archive of Our Own support was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache-2.0. The supported sites page lists the other fiction archives available through WP Downloader.
Signing in to Archive of Our Own
You do not need an Archive of Our Own account for public stories. For a members-only story, you can sign in with an account that already has access to it.
WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It can download only what your account can already read and does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
