How to download a MediaMiner story
- Open the story on MediaMiner and copy its URL. It should look similar to
https://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/s/category-name/story-title/123456. - Paste the link into the download form above.
- Select EPUB as the output format.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Start the download and save the EPUB to your device.
For MediaMiner, WP Downloader saves the whole story. It cannot download individual chapters or story lists. You can also start from the MediaMiner downloader.
What’s included in the EPUB
The downloaded EPUB contains the complete MediaMiner story available at the URL you entered. EPUB downloads are free for everyone, and you can open the file in any compatible reading app or device.
The download form has an option to include the story’s images. To save the story as a PDF instead, use the MediaMiner to PDF converter. PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. It also cannot update an EPUB when the author publishes another chapter. Paste the MediaMiner link into WP Downloader again to download the latest available version of the story.
MediaMiner support uses technology ported from FanFicFare, an open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache-2.0. The supported sites page lists the other fiction archives available through WP Downloader.
Do I need to sign in?
No MediaMiner account is required. Paste the story URL into the form and select EPUB.
WP Downloader fetches only the story you request and cannot bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions. If a link does not work, make sure it opens a MediaMiner story page and check the help guides.
