How to send a MediaMiner story to Kindle
To read a MediaMiner story on Kindle, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and add the file to your Kindle library through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. Amazon converts the EPUB so you can open it on a Kindle e-reader or in the Kindle app.
What you need
Before you start, make sure you have:
- The MediaMiner story link
- Access to WP Downloader’s MediaMiner downloader
- An Amazon account connected to your Kindle device or Kindle app
- Access to Send to Kindle on the web, in the app, or by email
You do not need a MediaMiner account. WP Downloader is a free web tool, and there is nothing to install for the download.
Step 1: Copy the MediaMiner story link
Open the story on mediaminer.org and copy the full URL from your browser’s address bar. A MediaMiner story URL looks like this:
https://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/s/category-name/story-title/123456Copy the main story page URL. WP Downloader downloads complete MediaMiner stories, so it does not accept individual chapters or story lists for this site.
Step 2: Download the story with WP Downloader
Open the MediaMiner downloader and paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader detects that the link is from MediaMiner and downloads the complete story.
Choose EPUB as the output format. Send to Kindle accepts EPUB files and converts them for your Kindle library. You can also include the story’s images in the download.
WP Downloader can create a PDF, but PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in. EPUB is free for everyone and works with Send to Kindle. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Step 3: Add the EPUB with Send to Kindle
You can send the downloaded EPUB to your Kindle library on the Send to Kindle website, through the app, or by email.
Use Send to Kindle on the web
Open Amazon’s Send to Kindle page in your browser. Select the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader and submit it.
Amazon converts the file and adds the story to the Kindle library connected to your account.
Use the Send to Kindle app
Open the Send to Kindle app, select the downloaded EPUB, and send it to your Kindle library.
After Amazon converts the file, you can find the story in your library on a Kindle e-reader or in the Kindle app.
Send the EPUB by email
Attach the EPUB to an email and send it to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle email address.
You must send the message from an approved email address. Amazon will not accept the file if the sender is not approved for your Kindle account. The Send to Kindle guide has more information about each delivery method.
Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI files. Use the EPUB from WP Downloader without converting it to MOBI.
Step 4: Open the story on your Kindle
Once Amazon has converted the EPUB, the MediaMiner story will appear in your Kindle library. Open it on a Kindle e-reader or in the Kindle app.
WP Downloader saves the whole story, so you do not need to download each chapter separately. If the author adds more chapters later, download the complete story again and send the new EPUB to Kindle. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded.

Does WP Downloader support MediaMiner stories?
Yes. Paste a MediaMiner story link into WP Downloader to download the complete story as an EPUB. You do not need to sign in to MediaMiner.
Can I send a MediaMiner EPUB to Kindle?
Yes. Send to Kindle accepts EPUB files and converts them for your Kindle library.
Can I use a MOBI file instead?
No. Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI files, and WP Downloader does not create them. Download the story as an EPUB instead.
Why was my emailed EPUB not accepted?
Only approved sender email addresses can send files to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address. Check that you sent the message from an address approved for your Kindle account.
Will my downloaded story update when new chapters appear?
No. WP Downloader does not add chapters to an existing EPUB. Download the complete story again and send the new EPUB to your Kindle library.
