Use WP Downloader to save a complete English-language story from Ad Astra as an EPUB. The tool runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install.
How to download an Ad Astra story
- Open the story on Ad Astra. The address should look like
https://www.adastrafanfic.com/works/123456. - Copy the complete work link from your browser’s address bar.
- Paste the link into the box above.
- Select EPUB as the output format.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Start the download and save the EPUB to your device.
WP Downloader downloads the whole story. It does not support individual Ad Astra chapters or lists, so use the main work URL.
For a different format, use the Ad Astra to PDF converter. PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in. EPUB downloads are free for everyone.
What the EPUB contains
The EPUB contains the complete Ad Astra story available from the work link you supplied. If you select the image option before downloading, it will also include the story’s images.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. It also cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When the author publishes another chapter, return to the Ad Astra downloader and download the story again.
Ad Astra support was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader released under the Apache-2.0 license. The supported sites list covers the other fiction archives that work with WPD.
Signing in to Ad Astra
You can download public Ad Astra stories without signing in. An optional Ad Astra sign-in lets WP Downloader download members-only stories that your account can already read.
WP Downloader uses your account credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot access content that your account is not allowed to read or bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
FAQ
Is the Ad Astra EPUB downloader free?
Yes. EPUB downloads are free for everyone, and you do not need to install anything.
Can I download one Ad Astra chapter?
No. WP Downloader downloads complete Ad Astra stories, not individual chapters or lists. Paste the main work link to download the whole story.
Can I download a members-only story?
Yes, if you sign in with an Ad Astra account that already has access. Signing in does not give your account access to anything it cannot already read.
How do I add newly published chapters to my EPUB?
Download the complete story again from its Ad Astra work link. WP Downloader creates a new EPUB instead of updating the file you already have. If you have trouble, check the help guides.
