How to Send an Ad Astra Story to Kindle

To send an Ad Astra story to your Kindle, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and submit the file through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. Amazon converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library, where you can read it on a Kindle e-reader or in the Kindle app.

Step 1: Copy the Ad Astra story link

Open the story on adastrafanfic.com and copy its web address. An Ad Astra work link looks like this:

https://www.adastrafanfic.com/works/123456

Copy the link for the complete work. WP Downloader downloads whole Ad Astra stories, not individual chapters or story lists.

Step 2: Download the EPUB

Open the Ad Astra Story Downloader. WP Downloader is a free web tool and does not require an installation.

Paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader will detect the site. Select EPUB as the output format and choose whether to include the story’s images.

You do not need to sign in for a public story. For a members-only story, you can sign in with your Ad Astra account so WP Downloader can access content your account is allowed to read. It uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested and cannot bypass membership restrictions, locked content, or age restrictions.

WP Downloader can also create PDF files, but PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in. EPUB is available to everyone and works with Send to Kindle.

WP Downloader’s Ad Astra support was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader.

See how to download Ad Astra stories for more help with the download.

Step 3: Send the EPUB to Kindle

You can send the downloaded EPUB through Amazon’s website, its Send to Kindle app, or email.

Use the Send to Kindle website

Open Amazon’s Send to Kindle web page and select the EPUB you downloaded. Submit it using the Amazon account connected to your Kindle library.

Amazon will convert the EPUB and add the story to your library.

Use the Send to Kindle app

Open Amazon’s Send to Kindle app and select the downloaded EPUB. Send it to the Kindle library associated with your Amazon account.

This option is convenient when the file is already saved on the computer where you use the app.

Email the EPUB to your Kindle

Attach the EPUB to an email and send it to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address.

You must send the message from an email address approved for your Kindle account. Amazon will reject the file if the sender is not approved. The Send to Kindle guide explains each delivery method in more detail.

Step 4: Open the story on your Kindle

Once Amazon has converted the EPUB, find the story in your Kindle library. You can read it on a Kindle e-reader or in the Kindle app.

The book contains the complete story as it was when you downloaded it. WP Downloader cannot add later chapters to an existing EPUB. If the author publishes more chapters, download the story again and send the new file to Kindle.

You can also read the story on other devices. See the guides to reading Ad Astra stories on Kobo and reading Ad Astra stories offline.
