How to Read Royal Road Stories on a reMarkable Tablet
To read a Royal Road story on a reMarkable tablet, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader and transfer the file to the tablet. The download contains the entire fiction, including every chapter, in one file.
Download the Royal Road story
WP Downloader is a free web tool. You do not need to install anything or sign in to Royal Road.
Find the fiction on royalroad.com. Its URL should look like this:

- Open the Royal Road Downloader.
- Paste the Royal Road fiction link into the box.
- Choose EPUB or PDF.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Download the file to your phone or computer.
EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. reMarkable tablets support both formats for files up to 100 MB.

Choose EPUB or PDF
EPUB and PDF both work on reMarkable. EPUB keeps the fiction and all its chapters together as an ebook. Choose PDF if you prefer that format and do not mind signing in with Discord.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. Those formats are not needed because reMarkable accepts EPUB and PDF files directly.
Transfer the story to your reMarkable
You can move the downloaded file to your reMarkable with its desktop or mobile app, through a web browser, or over a USB connection.
Use the reMarkable desktop or mobile app
If the story is on your computer, open the reMarkable desktop app and add the EPUB or PDF.
If it is on your phone, select the file in the reMarkable mobile app and add it to your library.
Once the file reaches your tablet, open it from the library to read it.
Upload it from a web browser
You can upload the EPUB or PDF to your reMarkable from a web browser. Select the file created by WP Downloader and upload it. It will then appear in your reMarkable library.
Transfer it with a USB cable
Connect the reMarkable tablet to your computer with a USB cable.
Turn on the USB web interface in the tablet’s storage settings. The exact settings path may differ between software versions. Once the interface is on, open this address in a browser on the connected computer:

Get newly published chapters
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB or PDF you have already downloaded. When the Royal Road author publishes more chapters, paste the fiction link into WP Downloader again and download a new copy of the whole story.
Transfer the new file to your reMarkable with the same app, browser, or USB method.
