How to Read Royal Road Stories on a PocketBook
To read a Royal Road story on a PocketBook e-reader, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and transfer the file through Send-to-PocketBook or USB. The download contains the entire story and all of its chapters in one file.
Download the story as an EPUB
WP Downloader is a free web tool that requires no installation or Royal Road account.
Open the Royal Road Downloader, find the story on royalroad.com, and copy its URL. A Royal Road fiction URL looks like this:
https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/12345Paste the URL into the box. WP Downloader will detect that the link is from Royal Road and prepare the story.
Choose EPUB as the output format. PocketBook e-readers can read EPUB and PDF files. EPUB is free for everyone, while PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

Send the EPUB with Send-to-PocketBook
Send-to-PocketBook lets you deliver the EPUB to your reader by email.
On your PocketBook e-reader:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Accounts and synchronization.
- Select Send-to-PocketBook.
- Sign in and follow the instructions in the activation email.
- Make a note of your personal Send-to-PocketBook address, which ends in
@pbsync.com.
Attach the Royal Road EPUB to an email and send it to your personal PocketBook address. Then sync the e-reader to receive the file.
If the book does not arrive, check whether your sending address is on the approved list. Send-to-PocketBook may ask you to whitelist the address before accepting the attachment.
Transfer the story over USB
You can also copy the EPUB to your PocketBook over USB. Connect the e-reader to the device where you saved the file, then copy the EPUB to the reader. Once the transfer finishes, open the story on your PocketBook to read it offline.
You can transfer a PDF in the same way because PocketBook supports both formats. PDF downloads from WP Downloader require a free Discord sign-in.
Get new Royal Road chapters
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When the story is updated, paste its link into WP Downloader again and download a new copy.
