How to print a SpaceBattles story for personal reading

To print a SpaceBattles story, download it as a PDF with WP Downloader and open the file in your usual PDF app. PDF keeps a fixed page layout, which makes it suitable for printing.

Download the story as a PDF

WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. Open the SpaceBattles downloader and paste the story’s thread URL into the box.

A SpaceBattles story URL usually looks like this:

WP Downloader detects the site from the link. It collects the threadmarked chapters from the forum thread and puts them into one book. SpaceBattles downloads include the whole story, not individual chapters or lists.

When the download options appear:

1. Choose PDF.
2. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
3. Sign in with Discord when prompted.
4. Download the finished PDF.

You do not need a SpaceBattles account. PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in. EPUB is available to everyone without that sign-in, but its layout is not fixed like a PDF.

Check the PDF before printing

Open the PDF and check that it contains the threadmarked chapters you expected. If you chose to include images, make sure they appear in the file.

Check the page count before printing the whole story. You can use the page-range setting in your print dialog if you only want to print part of the PDF.

WP Downloader creates the book from the story available when you download it. It cannot add new chapters to an existing file. If more threadmarked chapters are posted later, download the story again to make a new PDF.

Print from a computer

The names of the controls depend on your browser or PDF reader, but the usual steps are:

1. Open the downloaded PDF.
2. Select Print from the app’s menu.
3. Choose your printer.
4. Set the page range, paper size, orientation, and color options.
5. Review the print preview.
6. Start printing.

If your printer has a double-sided option, you can use it to save paper. You may also want to print a few pages first to check the text size and layout.

Print from a phone or tablet

Open the PDF from your device’s downloads or files area. The Print command may be in the app’s menu or sharing options.

1. Select Print.
2. Choose a printer.
3. Set the number of copies and page range.
4. Review the available paper, color, and double-sided settings.
5. Confirm the print job.

If you cannot find the Print command in your browser, save the PDF to your device and open it in a files or PDF-reading app.
