How to Read JoyRead Stories on a reMarkable Tablet
To read a JoyRead story on a reMarkable tablet, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader and transfer the file to your tablet. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.
Download a JoyRead story
Find the story on joyread.com and copy its full URL. A JoyRead story link looks like this:
https://www.joyread.com/15233-Dink-Husbands-Twin-SecretOpen the JoyRead Downloader, paste the link into the box, and WP Downloader will detect the site. It downloads the whole available story from JoyRead. Individual chapters and reading lists are not supported.
You can download the story in either of these formats:
- EPUB is free for everyone and works on reMarkable tablets.
- PDF also works on reMarkable, but creating one requires a free Discord sign-in.
You can choose whether to include the story’s images. reMarkable accepts EPUB and PDF files up to 100 MB, so the finished file must stay within that limit.
Signing in to your JoyRead account is optional. It lets WP Downloader access members-only stories that your account can read. Paid or locked chapters are included only if your account already has access. WP Downloader does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or other access restrictions.

Choose EPUB or PDF
Both formats work for offline reading on reMarkable. EPUB is the standard ebook format and the simplest free option. PDF is useful if you prefer a fixed-page document and do not mind signing in with Discord to create it.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. You do not need to convert the download to any of those formats because reMarkable supports EPUB and PDF directly.
If the story gets new chapters, the file already on your tablet will not update. Download the story again and transfer the new file to read the added chapters.
Transfer the story to your reMarkable
After downloading the EPUB or PDF to your phone or computer, you can transfer it with a reMarkable app, a web browser, or a USB cable.
Use the desktop or mobile app
Import the EPUB or PDF through the reMarkable desktop or mobile app. This method is convenient when the file is already on a device where you use the app.
Once the transfer is finished, open the document on your reMarkable.
Upload it from a web browser
You can also upload EPUB and PDF files through a web browser. Open reMarkable’s browser-based file transfer option, upload the file from WP Downloader, and then open it on the tablet.
Transfer it over USB
Connect the reMarkable tablet to a computer with a USB cable. Turn on the USB web interface in the tablet’s storage settings. The exact settings path can vary between reMarkable software versions.
With the tablet connected, open this address in a browser on the computer:

Read the story offline
Open the transferred story as you would any other EPUB or PDF document. Since the story is saved as a file, you can read it without returning to JoyRead for each chapter.
