How to Read JoyRead Stories Offline

To read a JoyRead story offline, download it with WP Downloader and open the EPUB or PDF in a compatible reading app. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

Download the JoyRead story

Open the JoyRead Downloader. You can also paste the story link into the box on the WP Downloader home page. The tool will detect that the link comes from JoyRead.

Follow these steps:

1. Copy the link to the JoyRead story.
2. Paste it into WP Downloader.
3. Choose EPUB or PDF.
4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
5. Download the finished file to your device.

EPUB is free for everyone. Creating a PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

For JoyRead, WP Downloader downloads the whole story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list. If the story gains new chapters, download it again to get a new copy. WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded.

Locked and members-only chapters

You do not need to sign in to download a public JoyRead story. Signing in with your JoyRead account is optional and lets WP Downloader reach members-only stories that your account can read.

WP Downloader only downloads content already available to your account. It cannot bypass paid chapters, locked content, or age restrictions. Your account credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested.

Read on a phone

EPUB works well in reading apps because the text adjusts to the screen. PDF keeps a fixed page layout.

After downloading the file:

Check whether your e-reader accepts EPUB or PDF. WP Downloader provides both formats, but it does not provide MOBI or AZW3.

Download the story to your phone or computer, then transfer the file using a method supported by your e-reader. Open the transferred book to confirm that it was added correctly.
