How to Read JoyRead Stories in the Kindle App

To read a JoyRead story in the Kindle app, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and send the file to your Kindle library. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

Download the JoyRead story as an EPUB

Copy the story link from joyread.com. A JoyRead story URL looks like this:

Then:

1. Open the JoyRead Downloader.
2. Paste the story link into the box.
3. Choose EPUB as the output format.
4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
5. Download the EPUB.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone and work with Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. WP Downloader can also create a PDF, which requires a free Discord sign-in.

WP Downloader downloads the entire JoyRead story. It cannot download individual chapters or reading lists. If the author publishes more chapters later, you will need to download the story again. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB.

You can sign in to your JoyRead account if you need to access a members-only story. WP Downloader includes paid or locked chapters only if your account can already read them. It cannot bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or other access restrictions.

Send the EPUB to your Kindle library

After saving the EPUB, send it to Kindle in any of these ways:

• Upload it through Send to Kindle on the web.
• Share it through the Send to Kindle app.
• Email it to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address.

Amazon accepts EPUB and PDF files through Send to Kindle. It converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library, making it available on Kindle e-readers and in the Kindle app.

Use the EPUB file without converting it to MOBI. Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI files, and WP Downloader does not create MOBI or AZW3 files.

Open the story in the Kindle app

Once Amazon has processed the EPUB, open the Kindle app and go to your library. Tap the JoyRead story to begin reading.

If the book does not appear, check that Send to Kindle accepted the EPUB. For email transfers, make sure you sent the message from an approved address.

Get an updated copy

WP Downloader creates an EPUB from the chapters available when you submit the story link. It cannot update an EPUB that is already in your Kindle library.

When a JoyRead story has new chapters:

1. Paste the story link into WP Downloader again.
2. Download a new EPUB.
3. Send the new file to your Kindle library.

The new copy will contain the chapters that your JoyRead account can currently read.

Can the Kindle app open a JoyRead EPUB?

Yes. Send the EPUB through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. Amazon will convert it and add the book to your Kindle library, where you can open it in the Kindle app.

Do I need to install WP Downloader?

No. WP Downloader runs in your web browser.

Do I need a JoyRead account?

Not for every story. Signing in is optional and lets WP Downloader access members-only content that your account can read. It cannot unlock paid or restricted chapters.

Can I send a MOBI file instead?

No. Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI files, and WP Downloader does not create them. Download the story as an EPUB instead.

Will my EPUB update when JoyRead adds new chapters?

No. Download the story again with WP Downloader, then send the new EPUB to Kindle.
