How to Track Unicorn Dreams Stories on Goodreads or StoryGraph

Most fanfiction and web serials are not listed on Goodreads, and a Unicorn Dreams story may also be missing from The StoryGraph. You can download the story as an EPUB with WP Downloader, then record it in either service or keep a private reading list in calibre.

Download the Unicorn Dreams story

WP Downloader is a free web tool that works with Unicorn Dreams, also known as Sinful Dreams, at sinful-dreams.com. You do not need to install anything.

1. Open the Unicorn Dreams downloader.
2. Copy the story URL from sinful-dreams.com. It should look like this:

https://sinful-dreams.com/unicorn/fic/viewstory.php?sid=1234

3. Paste the link into WP Downloader.
4. Choose EPUB, which is free for everyone. You can also choose PDF after signing in with Discord for free.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the file to your phone or computer.

For Unicorn Dreams, WP Downloader downloads the whole story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories.

Signing in to Unicorn Dreams is optional. If you sign in with an account from the site, WP Downloader can reach members-only stories that account is allowed to read. It uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass locked content or age restrictions.

Download the story again if the author adds more chapters. WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB you already saved. The Unicorn Dreams download guide has more information.

Save the title and author

Note the title and author as they appear on Unicorn Dreams. Goodreads requires both when an eligible account adds a book manually.

You may also want to save the original story URL in your notes, especially if several stories have similar names. The EPUB is your offline copy, while Goodreads or The StoryGraph can hold your reading record.

Track the story on Goodreads

Search Goodreads for the exact title and author before adding anything. If you find the right entry, use it to track your reading.

If the story is missing, go to goodreads.com/book/new. Goodreads accounts with a verified email can add a book by hand, though brand-new accounts cannot use this option. Enter at least the title and author.

Check the search results carefully first. Goodreads librarians handle edits and merge duplicate records.

Track the story on The StoryGraph

Search The StoryGraph for the exact title and author. If the work is listed, you can use that entry for your reading record.

If it is missing, check The StoryGraph’s help pages. The service does not publish clear official instructions for adding works that are not books.

Keep a private list in calibre

calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It lets you keep your own library without relying on a public book database.

1. Open calibre and select Add books.
2. Choose the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader.
3. Edit the title, author, metadata, or cover if needed.
4. Keep the book in your calibre library as your personal reading record.

You can read the story in calibre’s e-book viewer, which has a Read aloud feature. calibre can also send books to an e-reader connected by USB and convert EPUB files to formats such as AZW3, MOBI, or PDF.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. If you need a different format, download the EPUB and convert it with calibre. See the Unicorn Dreams Kindle guide or the Unicorn Dreams Kobo guide for device-specific instructions.
