Read Star Trek Fan Fiction Stories on a NOOK
To read a Star Trek Fan Fiction story on a Barnes & Noble NOOK, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to your NOOK over USB. Barnes & Noble calls this “sideloading.” Once transferred, the story is available to read offline.
What you need
Have these ready:
- The story page on trekfanfiction.net
- A computer that can open the story link
- Your NOOK and its USB cable
- WP Downloader, a free web tool with nothing to install
Story links from this archive usually look like this:
https://trekfanfiction.net/writer/a-story-name/ WP Downloader downloads complete stories from Star Trek Fan Fiction. It does not support individual chapters or story lists from this site.
Step 1: Download the story with WP Downloader
Open the Star Trek Fan Fiction downloader and paste the story link into the box. You can also paste it on the WP Downloader home page, which detects the source automatically.
You do not need a Star Trek Fan Fiction account. Once WP Downloader finds the story, choose EPUB. This format is free for everyone and is the one you will copy to your NOOK.
Choose whether to include the story’s images, then start the download. Save the EPUB somewhere easy to find, such as your Downloads folder.
The file contains the complete story as it appeared when you downloaded it. If the author adds more chapters later, download the story again to get a new EPUB. WP Downloader cannot update an existing file.

Step 2: Connect your NOOK
Connect the NOOK to your computer with a USB cable.
A NOOK GlowLight should appear on the computer as a drive named “NOOK.” Open the drive to access the device.
On newer models, enable file transfers after connecting the cable:
- Swipe down from the top of the NOOK screen.
- Tap “USB for charging.”
- Choose “Transfer files (MTP).”
Your computer should then recognize the NOOK and allow you to open its storage.
Step 3: Copy the EPUB to the NOOK
Find the EPUB from WP Downloader and drag it onto the NOOK drive. You can also copy and paste it into the device’s storage.
Wait for the transfer to finish. The EPUB already contains the whole downloaded story, so there are no separate chapter files to copy.
Eject the NOOK from your computer before unplugging the USB cable. You can then open the EPUB on your NOOK and read it offline.
Downloading an updated version
New chapters are not added to the EPUB on your NOOK automatically. To get them, return to WP Downloader, paste the story link again, and download a new copy.
Connect the NOOK over USB and transfer the new EPUB as before. It will contain the story as it appeared at the time of the new download.
