Read StoryRoom Stories on a reMarkable Tablet

To read a StoryRoom story on a reMarkable tablet, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader and transfer the file using a reMarkable app, a web browser, or USB. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

Download the StoryRoom story

Find the StoryRoom story you want to read. Its link should look like this:

2. Paste the story URL into the box.
3. Sign in with your StoryRoom or Finestories account when prompted.

6. Download the file to your phone or computer.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. PDF downloads require a free Discord sign-in. reMarkable tablets support both formats.

WP Downloader downloads the entire story. It cannot download a single chapter or a story list from StoryRoom. It only retrieves material that your account can already read and does not bypass locked content, paywalls, or age restrictions. Your credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested.

Choose EPUB or PDF

reMarkable tablets support EPUB and PDF files up to 100 MB.

EPUB is a good choice for a text-focused story. Choose PDF if you prefer that format. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files, and those formats are not needed for a reMarkable.

If the story gains new chapters, download it again through WP Downloader. The tool cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already created.

Use the reMarkable app

You can add the downloaded file to your tablet with the reMarkable desktop or mobile app.

On a phone, download the EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader, then add it through the reMarkable mobile app. Once the file is on the tablet, open it from your library.

On a computer, download the story, open the reMarkable desktop app, and add the EPUB or PDF.

Upload the story in a web browser

You can also upload the file through reMarkable’s browser-based transfer option. Download the story with WP Downloader, upload the saved EPUB or PDF from your computer, and open it from the library on your tablet.

Transfer the story over USB

You can move the file from a computer to your reMarkable with a USB cable.

1. Connect the reMarkable tablet to your computer with a USB cable.
2. Turn on the USB web interface in the tablet’s storage settings.
3. Open 10.11.99.1 in a browser on the connected computer.
4. Upload the EPUB or PDF you downloaded from WP Downloader.
5. Open the story from the tablet’s library after the upload finishes.

The path to the USB web interface setting can vary between reMarkable software versions. If you cannot find it, check the tablet’s current storage settings.

Manage updated stories and images

Choose the option to include images before downloading if you want the story’s illustrations or other included artwork. A recognizable filename can also make multiple downloaded stories easier to find.

Downloading a newer copy does not change the file already on your reMarkable. When new chapters are published, download the whole story again and transfer the new file.
