You can read a StoryRoom story on a Boox e-reader by downloading the whole story as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader. Copy the file to your Boox over USB or open it from Google Drive, then use the built-in reader or another Android reading app.

Download a StoryRoom story

WP Downloader is a free web tool that works with stories from storyroom.com and finestories.com. There is nothing to install.

A StoryRoom link usually looks like this:

To download a story:

1. Open the StoryRoom Downloader.
2. Paste the StoryRoom story link into the box.
3. Sign in with an account on the story site.
4. Choose EPUB or PDF.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the file to your phone or computer.

You can also paste the link on the WP Downloader home page, where the tool will detect the source site automatically.

WP Downloader uses your account credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It can download only material that your account can already read and does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.

Choose EPUB or PDF

Boox e-readers can open both EPUB and PDF files.

EPUB is free for everyone through WP Downloader. PDF is also available, but creating one requires a free Discord sign-in.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. A Boox can open EPUB and PDF directly, so you do not need to convert the story to one of those formats.

Move the file to your Boox

You can copy the downloaded EPUB or PDF to your Boox over USB or open it from Google Drive.

If the file is on your computer:

1. Connect your Boox e-reader to the computer with a USB cable.
2. Open the Boox storage on the computer.
3. Copy the EPUB or PDF to the device.
4. Disconnect the Boox after the copy finishes.
5. Find the file on your Boox and open it in the built-in reader.

Open the file from Google Drive

If you saved the file to Google Drive, open the Drive app on your Boox and find the story. You can then open the EPUB or PDF in a reading app that supports the format.

Choose a reading app

Boox e-readers run Android. You can read EPUB and PDF files in the built-in reader or install another Android reading app that supports them.

After copying or opening the file, select the app you want to use. If the author adds chapters later, download the whole story again with WP Downloader. The tool cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have.

Organize your downloaded stories

Keeping your StoryRoom files in one folder on your computer, in Google Drive, or on your Boox makes them easier to find. If you keep copies on several devices, clearly name or replace older files when you download an updated version.
