How to Read stck.me Stories Offline on a Flight

Choose EPUB, which is free for everyone, or PDF, which requires a free Discord sign-in.
Choose whether to include the story’s images.

Choose a device and reading app

Once the EPUB or PDF is on your device, you can open it without an internet connection. The next step depends on where you plan to read.

Phone or tablet

Open the file in a reading app that supports its format. Use the EPUB if your preferred app supports EPUB, or the PDF if it supports PDF.

Save the file on the phone or tablet you are taking, then open the book before you leave. This lets you confirm that the file finished downloading and is available in your reading app.

Kindle e-reader or Kindle app

Send the book to Kindle while you still have internet access. Amazon’s Send to Kindle service accepts EPUB and PDF files. You can deliver the file by email to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address, through the Send to Kindle app, or on the web.

Amazon converts the EPUB, then adds the book to your Kindle library on Kindle e-readers and in the Kindle app. Wait for the book to appear before your flight.

Kobo

Download the EPUB before your trip, then follow the stck.me Kobo guide. Complete the transfer while you still have an internet connection.

Laptop

Download the EPUB or PDF to the laptop you will carry. Once the file is stored locally, you can open it offline with an app that supports the format.

Check the book before the flight

After downloading or delivering the book, turn on airplane mode and open it. This confirms that the copy on your device is available without a connection.

Check that:

The book opens in airplane mode.
You can move between chapters.
The file is stored on the device you will carry.
Any Kindle delivery has finished.
The chapters you want are available to your stck.me account.
