How to Read Stories from The Spuffy Realm on a PocketBook
To read a story from The Spuffy Realm on a PocketBook, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and transfer the file by email or USB. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so there is nothing to install. You do not need to sign in to The Spuffy Realm.
Download the story with WP Downloader
Find the story you want on spikeluver.com. Its address should look like this:
https://spikeluver.com/SpuffyRealm/viewstory.php?sid=1234 Copy the link to the story. WP Downloader handles whole stories from The Spuffy Realm, so it does not download individual chapters or lists.
Open the The Spuffy Realm downloader, paste the link into the box, and let WP Downloader detect the site. Choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and works on PocketBook e-readers. You can also include the story’s images.
PDF is available too, although it requires a free Discord sign-in. PocketBook readers support both EPUB and PDF. Choose EPUB if you want to download the story without signing in.
Save the finished file somewhere easy to find, such as the Downloads folder on your phone or computer. The guide to downloading stories from The Spuffy Realm covers this process in more detail.
Send the EPUB to your PocketBook
You can transfer the file with Send-to-PocketBook or copy it over USB.
Option 1: Use Send-to-PocketBook
Send-to-PocketBook gives your reader a personal email address. On the PocketBook, open Settings, then Accounts and synchronization, followed by Send-to-PocketBook. Sign in and open the activation email you receive. Your personal address ends in @pbsync.com.
Attach the EPUB to an email from your regular account and send it to your @pbsync.com address. Sync the PocketBook to receive the file.
If the EPUB does not arrive, check whether your sending address is on the approved list. The service may ask you to whitelist it. Once the address is approved, send the file again and sync the reader.
Option 2: Copy the file over USB
Connect the PocketBook to your computer with a USB cable, then copy the downloaded EPUB or PDF to the reader. After disconnecting the device, open the file from its library.
USB is a useful alternative if you do not want to set up Send-to-PocketBook or the emailed file does not appear.
Read the story offline
Open the story from your PocketBook library. Because the file is stored on the reader, you can read it offline without returning to spikeluver.com.
The book will not update when the author adds chapters. To get a newer copy, paste the story link into WP Downloader again, download a new EPUB, and transfer that file to your PocketBook.
WP Downloader downloads whole stories from The Spuffy Realm. It does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. PocketBook supports EPUB and PDF, so you do not need those formats for this process.
