How to Read Occlumency Stories on a reMarkable Tablet

To read an Occlumency story on a reMarkable tablet, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader and transfer the file using a reMarkable app, a browser, or a USB cable. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

Download an Occlumency story

Find the story on occlumency.sycophanthex.com. Its address should look like this:

Copy the address of the whole story, then:

1. Open the Occlumency downloader.
2. Paste the story link into the box.
3. Sign in with your Occlumency account if the story is restricted to members. You can skip this for a public story.
4. Choose EPUB or PDF.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the file to your phone or computer.

EPUB is free for everyone. Creating a PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

WP Downloader can only retrieve content that your Occlumency account is allowed to read. It does not bypass members-only access, paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions. Your account credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested.

Choose EPUB for a standard ebook file. Choose PDF if you prefer that format and do not mind signing in with Discord to create it.

Before transferring the story, make sure the download is complete and the file is no larger than 100 MB.

Use the reMarkable desktop app

If you downloaded the story to a computer:

1. Open the reMarkable desktop app.
2. Import the file.
3. Select the EPUB or PDF from WP Downloader.
4. Wait for it to appear on your reMarkable tablet.
5. Open the story on the tablet.

This method is useful when you downloaded the story on a desktop or laptop.

Use the reMarkable mobile app

If the file is on your phone:

1. Find the downloaded EPUB or PDF.
2. Open or share it with the reMarkable app.
3. Add it to your reMarkable.
4. Open the file on your tablet when it becomes available.

Sharing controls vary by phone. Choose the reMarkable app as the destination for the downloaded file.

Upload the story in a browser

You can also upload EPUB and PDF files through reMarkable’s browser interface. Open it in your browser, select the downloaded Occlumency file, and upload it.

This method is useful when the file is already on your computer and you do not want to use the desktop app.

Transfer the story over USB

To upload the file with a USB cable:

1. Connect the reMarkable tablet to your computer.
2. Open the tablet’s storage settings.
3. Turn on the USB web interface.
4. Open 10.11.99.1 in a browser on the connected computer.
5. Upload the EPUB or PDF.

The path to the USB web interface setting can differ between reMarkable software versions. Look for the USB web interface option in the tablet’s storage settings.

After the upload finishes, open the story on your reMarkable.

Get updated chapters

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded. When an Occlumency story is updated, download the whole story again.

This gives you a separate, current copy. Transfer the new file to your reMarkable with any of the methods above.
