Read an Inkitt Story in Google Play Books
To read an Inkitt story in Google Play Books, download it as an EPUB or PDF with WP Downloader and upload the file to your Play Books library. You can then read it on the web, Android, iPhone, or iPad.
WP Downloader is a free web tool, and you do not need to install anything. Inkitt downloads require you to sign in with your Inkitt account.
Step 1: Copy the Inkitt story link
Open the story on inkitt.com and copy its address from your browser. An Inkitt story link looks like this:

Step 2: Download the story with WP Downloader
Open the Inkitt downloader and paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader will detect that the link is from Inkitt.
Sign in with your Inkitt email address and password. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It can download only the content your account can already read and does not bypass locked chapters, paywalls, or age restrictions.
Choose a file format:
- EPUB is free for everyone.
- PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

Step 3: Upload the file to Google Play Books
Google Play Books accepts personal DRM-free EPUB and PDF files. You can upload the file from the Play Books website or the Android app.
Upload from a computer
Open the Google Play Books website and sign in to the Google account you want to use.
Choose the upload option, then select the EPUB or PDF from your computer or Google Drive. When the upload is complete, open the story from your Play Books library. You can read it on the website or in the Play Books app on another supported device.
Upload from an Android device
Download the story from WP Downloader to your Android device. Open the Google Play Books app and use its upload option to select the EPUB or PDF.
After Google Play Books adds the file to your library, tap the story to start reading. Use the Google account where you want the uploaded book to appear.
Read on an iPhone or iPad
First upload the story through the Play Books website on a computer or through the Android app. Open Google Play Books on your iPhone or iPad and sign in with the same Google account.
Select the uploaded story from your Play Books library to begin reading.
Choosing EPUB or PDF
EPUB is free to create with WP Downloader. PDF is also accepted by Google Play Books, but WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in to create it.
Very large files can reach Google’s upload size limit. If Google Play Books rejects the file, download the story again without its images and try uploading the new copy.
When the story gets new chapters
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. When the Inkitt story is updated, return to the Inkitt downloader, paste its link again, and download the whole story as a new file.
Upload the new EPUB or PDF to Google Play Books. You can keep the older file until you confirm that the new download contains the expected chapters.
