Read a FicWad Story on a PocketBook E-Reader

To read a FicWad story on a PocketBook e-reader, download the complete story as an EPUB with WP Downloader and transfer the file by email or USB. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

Download the FicWad story as an EPUB

Find the FicWad story you want to read. Its address should look like this:

Copy the full story link and open the FicWad downloader. Paste the link into the box. WP Downloader recognizes the FicWad link and prepares the whole story for download.

Choose EPUB for your PocketBook. EPUB is free for everyone, and PocketBook e-readers support it. WP Downloader can also create a PDF, but that option requires a free Discord sign-in. If the story has images, you can include them in the downloaded book.

WP Downloader downloads complete FicWad stories. It cannot download a single chapter or a story list. If the author publishes another chapter, download the story again to create a new EPUB. The tool cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already saved.

You can download public FicWad stories without signing in. For a members-only story, you can sign in with your FicWad account to retrieve content that the account can already read. WP Downloader cannot bypass locked content, paywalls, or age restrictions.

Send the EPUB with Send-to-PocketBook

Send-to-PocketBook gives your reader a personal email address. You can email the EPUB to that address and then sync your device.

Set up your PocketBook address

On your PocketBook reader:

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Accounts and synchronization.
3. Open Send-to-PocketBook.
4. Sign in and follow the setup instructions.
5. Open the activation email and activate the service.

After activation, you will receive a personal Send-to-PocketBook address ending in @pbsync.com.

Email and sync the story

Attach the FicWad EPUB to an email and send it to your @pbsync.com address. Sync your PocketBook reader after sending it. When the transfer is complete, you can open the story on the device and read it offline.

If the book does not arrive, check whether your sending email address is on the service’s approved list. Send-to-PocketBook may ask you to whitelist that address before accepting the attachment. Approve the address, send the EPUB again, and sync the reader.

Copy the story to PocketBook over USB

You can transfer the EPUB directly from a computer instead:

1. Download the FicWad story with WP Downloader.
2. Connect your PocketBook e-reader to the computer with USB.
3. Open the PocketBook storage on the computer.
4. Copy the EPUB file to the reader.
5. Disconnect the PocketBook after the transfer finishes.
6. Open the story on the device.

USB works well if you do not want to set up Send-to-PocketBook or an emailed file has not appeared.

Choose between EPUB and PDF

PocketBook supports EPUB and PDF, and WP Downloader can create either format. EPUB does not require a Discord sign-in and works well for reading stories on an e-reader. Creating a PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. You do not need those formats because PocketBook supports EPUB and PDF.
