How to Read FicWad Stories Offline
To read a FicWad story offline, download the whole story with WP Downloader and open the EPUB or PDF on your phone, tablet, e-reader, or computer. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.
Download the FicWad story
Open the FicWad Downloader and paste the story’s FicWad link into the box. A story URL looks like this:
https://ficwad.com/story/1234WP Downloader detects the site and prepares the complete story. It downloads whole FicWad stories, not individual chapters or story lists.
Choose a format:
- EPUB is free for everyone and works with ebook apps and e-readers that support it.
- PDF requires a free Discord sign-in and opens in a compatible PDF reader.
You can choose whether to include the story’s images.
You do not need to sign in for public stories. If a story is available only to members, you can sign in with your FicWad account to download it. WP Downloader can only access stories that your account is already allowed to read. It does not bypass membership restrictions, locked content, paywalls, or age restrictions. Your credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested.

Read FicWad stories offline on a phone
While you have an internet connection, download the EPUB or PDF to your phone. Once the file is saved, open it in an app that supports the chosen format.
Open an EPUB in an ebook app that can import EPUB files. Open a PDF in a PDF reader. Check that the story opens before going offline.
If you cannot find the file, look in your browser’s downloads area or your phone’s file manager. You may need to use the share or open-with option to move it into your reading app.
Read on a tablet
The steps are similar on a tablet:
- Visit the FicWad Downloader in your browser.
- Paste the FicWad story URL.
- Download the story as EPUB or PDF.
- Open the file in a compatible reading app.
- Check that the book opens before going offline.
EPUB allows an ebook app to adjust the text to the screen. PDF keeps a fixed page layout.
Read on an e-reader
Download the story as an EPUB, then transfer it to an e-reader that supports EPUB files using the usual import method for your device.
Kindle and Kobo have different transfer steps:
WP Downloader does not create MOBI or AZW3 files. EPUB is its only ebook format. Before disconnecting the e-reader or traveling, check that the story appears in its library and opens correctly.
Read on a computer
Download the FicWad story in your computer’s browser, then open the file in software that supports its format.
You can open a PDF with a compatible PDF reader. An EPUB requires an ebook app that supports EPUB files. After downloading and opening the file, you can read the story without returning to FicWad.
You can also move the downloaded file to another compatible device later.
Get newly published chapters
WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB you have already downloaded. If the FicWad author adds chapters, return to the FicWad Downloader, paste the story link again, and download the whole story again.
The new copy will contain the story as it is available to your account at that time. You can replace the older file in your reading app or keep both copies.
