How to Read a FictionHunt Story in the Kindle App
To read a FictionHunt story in the Kindle app, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and send the file to your Kindle library. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.
What you will need
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- The FictionHunt story link
- An account on fictionhunt.com
- The Kindle app
- Access to Amazon’s Send to Kindle service
FictionHunt story links look like this:
https://fictionhunt.com/stories/1a1a1a/story-title WP Downloader downloads the whole story from FictionHunt. It does not download individual chapters or story lists.
Step 1: Download the FictionHunt story
Open the FictionHunt downloader in your browser. You can also paste the story link into the box on the WP Downloader home page, which will detect that it comes from FictionHunt.
Paste the FictionHunt story URL and follow the prompts to sign in with your fictionhunt.com account. FictionHunt downloads require an account. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested, and it can download only the content your account is allowed to read.
Choose EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and is accepted by Amazon’s Send to Kindle service. You can also choose whether to include the story’s images.
PDF is available with a free Discord sign-in. WP Downloader does not create MOBI or AZW3 files. Send to Kindle accepts EPUB files and no longer accepts MOBI files.
For more help with the download, see how to download FictionHunt stories.
Step 2: Send the EPUB to your Kindle library
After downloading the EPUB, send it to Kindle using one of these methods:
- Upload it through Send to Kindle on the web
- Send it through the Send to Kindle app
- Email it to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address
Amazon converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library. It will then appear on Kindle e-readers and in the Kindle app.
If you send the file by email, you must use an approved sender email address. See the Send to Kindle guide for details, or follow the guide to sending FictionHunt stories to Kindle.
Step 3: Open the story in the Kindle app
Open the Kindle app and go to your library. Find the story you sent, then open it in the app.
If the story does not appear, check that the Kindle app uses the same Amazon account that received the file. You can also confirm that Amazon accepted the upload or email.
Getting new chapters later
WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB you have already downloaded. If the FictionHunt story gets new chapters, download the whole story again and send the new EPUB to Kindle.
The new file will contain the complete story available to your FictionHunt account when you download it.
