How to Read Ficbook Stories in KOReader
To read a Ficbook story in KOReader, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader, copy the file to your device, and open it from KOReader’s file browser. The downloaded book remains available for offline reading.

KOReader is a free, open-source document reader for Kobo, PocketBook, and Android devices. It also runs on jailbroken Kindles. The reader opens both EPUB and PDF files.
Installing KOReader on a Kobo or Kindle is a separate, unofficial process. The steps below assume it is already installed and working.
Step 1: Copy the Ficbook story link
Open the Ficbook story in your browser and copy its URL from the address bar.
A Ficbook story URL usually looks like this:

Ficbook stories are in Russian. Their text stays in Russian when you download and read them in KOReader.
Step 2: Download the story with WP Downloader
Open the WP Downloader page for Ficbook and paste the story link into the box. WP Downloader detects the site and prepares the story. You do not need to install anything or sign in to Ficbook.
Choose EPUB to download the story without signing in. EPUB is free for everyone. You can also choose to include the story’s images.
WP Downloader can create a PDF after a free Discord sign-in. KOReader opens both EPUB and PDF, but EPUB is the easier option if you do not specifically need a PDF.

Step 3: Copy the EPUB to your device
After the download finishes, find the EPUB on your phone or computer and copy it to the device where you use KOReader.
The transfer method depends on the device:
- On Kobo or PocketBook, connect the device to your computer with USB and copy the EPUB to it.
- On Android, use your usual file transfer method.
- On a jailbroken Kindle running KOReader, copy the EPUB to the device as usual.
Put the file in a folder you can find later through KOReader’s file browser.

Step 4: Open the story in KOReader
Start KOReader and open its file browser. Find the folder containing the EPUB, then select the file to begin reading.
Since the story is stored on your device, you can read it offline without returning to Ficbook.
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded. If the story is updated, paste its link into WP Downloader again and download a new copy.
Choosing EPUB or PDF
KOReader supports both formats. EPUB is free for everyone and does not require a sign-in. Creating a PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. KOReader opens EPUB directly, so you do not need to convert the downloaded story.
