How to read FanficAuthors stories offline

WP Downloader lets you save a complete FanficAuthors story as an EPUB or PDF. You can then open the file on a phone, tablet, e-reader, or computer without an internet connection. The tool is free to use on the web, with nothing to install.

Download the FanficAuthors story

WP Downloader supports stories on FanficAuthors subdomains such as jeconais.fanficauthors.net. Story links usually follow this pattern:

To save a story:

1. Open the story on FanficAuthors and copy its URL.
2. Go to the FanficAuthors downloader.
3. Paste the story link into the box.
4. Choose EPUB or PDF.
5. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
6. Download the finished file to your device.

EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. You do not need a FanficAuthors account or archive sign-in.

Read offline on a phone

Download the EPUB or PDF directly to your phone, or move a file from another device into your phone’s storage.

Once the file is on your phone:

1. Find it in your browser’s downloads or file manager.
2. Tap the file.
3. Choose an app that can open EPUB or PDF files.
4. Wait for the book to open or import.
5. Disconnect from the internet and continue reading.

EPUB is usually convenient for reading stories because an EPUB reader displays the file as a book. Choose PDF if you prefer a document with fixed pages.

Let the file finish downloading before you go offline. If you included images, open the completed book while you still have an internet connection to make sure it works.

Read offline on a tablet

On a tablet, download the story through the browser, find the file, and open it in an app that supports its format.

Both EPUB and PDF work on a tablet’s larger screen. An EPUB app controls how the story appears. A PDF keeps its page layout, so you may need to zoom on smaller screens.

If you downloaded the story on a computer, transfer the EPUB or PDF to your tablet before opening it. Keep the original downloaded file if you want a separate copy outside the reading app.

Read offline on an e-reader

Choose EPUB unless your device or usual reading setup requires PDF. Download the story to a phone, tablet, or computer, then transfer the finished file using a method supported by your e-reader.

After the transfer:

1. Open your e-reader’s library.
2. Find the FanficAuthors story.
3. Open it once to check that the transfer worked.
4. You can now read it without returning to the website.

Get newly added chapters

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. When a story is updated, return to the downloader, paste its FanficAuthors link again, and download a new copy of the complete story.

You can remove or rename the older file to make the two versions easier to distinguish.
