How to Read FanficAuthors Stories in KOReader

You can read a FanficAuthors story in KOReader by downloading the whole story as an EPUB with WP Downloader, copying the file to your device, and opening it from KOReader’s file browser. WP Downloader is free, and FanficAuthors does not require an account.

What you need

WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything to download a story. You will need:

A link to a story on a FanficAuthors site
A device running KOReader
A way to copy the downloaded file to the device

FanficAuthors story links use a subdomain of fanficauthors.net. They look like this:

KOReader is a free, open-source document reader for Kobo, PocketBook, and Android devices. It also runs on jailbroken Kindles. Installing KOReader on a Kobo or Kindle is a separate, unofficial process. This guide assumes it is already installed on your device.

Step 1: Copy the FanficAuthors story link

Open the story in your browser and copy the full URL from the address bar.

Copy the main story link. WP Downloader downloads the whole FanficAuthors story as one book and does not support individual chapters or story lists from this archive.

Step 4: Open the story in KOReader

Open KOReader, find the copied EPUB or PDF in its file browser, and select the file.

You can now read the story offline without keeping the FanficAuthors page open or returning to WP Downloader.

Getting new chapters later

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. If the FanficAuthors story is updated, paste its link into WP Downloader again and download a new copy.
