How to Read Chaos (Sycophant Hex) Stories on a tolino
To read a Chaos story on a tolino eReader, download the complete story as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file into the Books folder on your tolino. WP Downloader is free and runs in your browser, so you do not need to install anything.
What you need
You will need:
- The Chaos story page on chaos.sycophanthex.com
- A computer with internet access
- Your tolino eReader
- A USB-C cable
A Chaos story link usually looks like this:

Step 1: Download the story as an EPUB
Open the Chaos (Sycophant Hex) downloader in your browser.
Copy the address of the story on chaos.sycophanthex.com and paste it into the downloader box. WP Downloader will detect the site from the link.
Select EPUB as the output format. EPUB is free for everyone and works on tolino eReaders. You can also choose whether to include the story’s images.
Download the EPUB and save it somewhere easy to find on your computer. You do not need a Chaos account, and there is no WP Downloader software to install.

Step 2: Connect your tolino
Connect the tolino to your computer with its USB-C cable and wait for the computer to detect it.
The tolino vision 6, shine 4, and epos 3 use MTP for USB transfers. These models may appear as connected devices instead of regular removable drives. Open the tolino from your computer’s file browser.
Step 3: Copy the EPUB to the Books folder
Open the tolino’s storage and find the Books folder.
Find the EPUB you downloaded with WP Downloader and copy or move it into that folder. Wait for the transfer to finish, and do not unplug the tolino while the file is copying.
After the transfer is complete, disconnect the cable. Select the EPUB on your tolino to start reading.
Reading new chapters
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have. When the Chaos story is updated, return to the Chaos downloader and download the complete story again.
Transfer the new EPUB to your tolino with the same USB-C steps. You can then decide whether to keep or remove the older copy on your device.
Choosing EPUB
tolino eReaders support EPUB, so you can read the downloaded story without changing it to another format. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files, and you do not need any of them for this method.
