How to download Psychfic stories as EPUB or PDF

WP Downloader can save a whole Psychfic story as an EPUB or PDF. Copy the story’s URL, paste it into the downloader, and choose a format. You do not need a Psychfic account.

How to download a Psychfic story

WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

1. Open the story on psychfic.com.
2. Copy the full URL from your browser’s address bar.
3. Open the Psychfic Downloader.
4. Paste the story URL into the box.
5. Choose EPUB or PDF.
6. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
7. Start the download and save the file.

For Psychfic, WP Downloader saves the whole story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories.

If the author adds more chapters, download the story again. WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB you already have.

Which Psychfic URL should you use?

Copy the URL from the story page. A Psychfic story URL looks like this:

http://www.psychfic.com/viewstory.php?sid=1234

The number after sid= identifies the story. Copy your link directly from the story page instead of changing the number in this example.

Paste the link into the Psychfic Downloader. WP Downloader will recognize Psychfic and prepare the whole story.

Do you need to sign in?

You do not need to sign in to Psychfic.

EPUB is free for everyone and does not require a Discord sign-in. PDF is also free, but you must sign in to WP Downloader with Discord to create one. This sign-in is only for the PDF option.

WP Downloader can only download material you can already access. It does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.

Psychfic support was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache-2.0.

EPUB or PDF: which should you choose?

Choose EPUB if your reading app or device supports it. EPUB is available without signing in to Discord.

Choose PDF if you prefer a PDF reader. You will need a free Discord sign-in to create the file.

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. Check which of the two available formats your reading app accepts.

Open the story on your device or in an app

When the download is complete, look for the EPUB or PDF in your browser’s downloads or the folder where your device stores downloaded files.

For an EPUB:

1. Open your EPUB reading app.
2. Choose the option to open or import a book.
3. Select the Psychfic EPUB you downloaded.

For a PDF:

1. Open an app that supports PDF files.
2. Find the downloaded PDF.
3. Open it and start reading.
