How to Download Harry Potter Fanfiction as EPUB or PDF

WP Downloader saves Harry Potter fanfiction from AO3, Wattpad and supported Harry Potter archives as EPUB or PDF files. The tool is free and runs in your browser, so you do not need to install anything.

How to download Harry Potter fanfiction

The process is similar on each supported site:

1. Open the story you want to save.
2. Copy its link from your browser’s address bar or the mobile share menu.
3. Go to WP Downloader.
4. Paste the story link into the box.
5. Wait for WP Downloader to detect the source site.
6. Choose EPUB or PDF and select whether to include the story’s images.
7. Download the book.

EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3 or TXT files.

Download from AO3

Copy the link to the complete AO3 work and paste it into WP Downloader. You can then choose EPUB or PDF and start the download.

WP Downloader handles AO3 through its support for fiction archives. These integrations download whole stories, not individual chapters or lists.

See the AO3 fanfiction download guide for detailed instructions.

Download from Wattpad

Public Wattpad stories can be downloaded without an account:

1. Copy the Wattpad story link.
2. Paste it into the Wattpad downloader.
3. Choose EPUB or PDF.
4. Download the book.

If you sign in with your Wattpad account, WP Downloader can also download paid stories that your account owns and stories in your library or archive. Wattpad downloads can include a complete story, a single part or a reading list.

WP Downloader only fetches material your account can already read. It does not bypass paid access, locked chapters or age restrictions. Your credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested.

Pasting a single Wattpad story link also displays a “Listen to audiobook” button. It opens Audora, WP Downloader’s sister service, with that story. Audora turns the story into an audiobook. The button does not appear for AO3 works, archive stories, individual Wattpad parts or reading lists.

Supported Harry Potter fanfiction archives

WP Downloader supports these dedicated archives:

• MuggleNet Fan Fiction
• FictionAlley Archive
• Potions and Snitches
• Sink Into Your Eyes, also known as SIYE
• Ashwinder
• Phoenixsong.net
• The Chosen Two Archive
• Lumos
• Occlumency

MuggleNet Fan Fiction is a Harry Potter archive. The MuggleNet fanfiction download guide explains how to save a story from it.

Use a whole-story link when downloading from these archives. Their WP Downloader integrations do not support individual chapters or lists. Some of the supported sites allow an optional sign-in for members-only stories, while a few require an account. WP Downloader can only download content your account is allowed to read.

WP Downloader supports 87 fiction archives, forums and web-novel sites in addition to its native platforms. Check the full supported sites list to see whether a site is included. Support for these 87 sites was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache-2.0.

FanFiction.net is not supported.

Choose EPUB or PDF

EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in.

You can choose whether to include the story’s images when preparing either download.

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you have already downloaded. If the story gains new chapters, download the whole story again to create a new file.

Download tips

Use the main story URL for AO3 and the supported archive sites because those integrations download whole stories.

If a story is limited to signed-in readers, use the sign-in option when WP Downloader provides one for that site. Signing in does not grant access to anything your account cannot already read.

Wattpad accepts links for complete stories, individual parts and reading lists. AO3 and the other fiction archives accept whole-story links only.
