How to Back Up TG Storytime Stories
Authors and sites can edit, unpublish, or delete stories. A personal backup preserves the version of a TG Storytime story that was available when you downloaded it. WP Downloader can save the whole story as an EPUB or PDF.
Download a TG Storytime story
WP Downloader is a free web tool with nothing to install. Open the TG Storytime Downloader or paste the story link into the box on the WP Downloader home page.
A TG Storytime story URL looks like this:

- Copy its full URL from your browser.
- Open the TG Storytime Downloader.
- Paste the URL into the download box.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Download the story as an EPUB or PDF.
EPUB is free for everyone. PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.
For TG Storytime, WP Downloader saves the whole story. It does not download single chapters or story lists.
Signing in is optional. If a story is available only to TG Storytime members, you can sign in with your account on that site. WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It can download only material your account is already allowed to read and does not bypass locked content, paywalls, or age restrictions.

Save new snapshots when a story changes
An EPUB or PDF contains the version of the story that was available when you downloaded it. The file will not update when the author adds or revises chapters.
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. Download the complete story again whenever you want a copy with later chapters. Saving the files with their download dates can help you tell different versions apart.
Store the EPUB on your phone or tablet
Save the downloaded EPUB somewhere you can find it again, then open it in an app that reads EPUB files.
Move or copy the file from your browser’s downloads into the folder where you keep personal documents or e-books. You can also keep another personal copy on a computer or second device.
Choose PDF instead if you prefer to read the story in a PDF reader.
Organize the story with calibre
calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can use it to organize personal copies of stories from TG Storytime and other archives.
After downloading the EPUB:
- Open calibre.
- Select “Add books.”
- Choose the EPUB you downloaded.
- Edit its metadata or cover if needed.
- Keep the book in your calibre library or send it to a connected e-reader over USB.
You can also read the story in calibre’s e-book viewer, which has a Read aloud feature.
If your device needs another file type, calibre can convert the EPUB to formats such as AZW3, MOBI, or PDF. WP Downloader itself does not provide MOBI, AZW3, or TXT downloads.
Copy the story to an e-reader
You can store your personal copy on an e-reader. For an Amazon device, follow the guide to send TG Storytime stories to Kindle. Kobo users can read how to read TG Storytime stories on Kobo.
calibre can also send books to a connected e-reader over USB. Keep the original EPUB in your personal library so that removing the reading copy from the device does not remove your backup.

Downloaded stories are for your own reading. Do not re-upload them, publish them elsewhere, or share copies with other people.

Can I back up one TG Storytime chapter?
No. WP Downloader downloads whole stories from TG Storytime. It does not download individual chapters or story lists.
Will my EPUB receive new chapters automatically?
No. The EPUB is a snapshot of the story at the time you downloaded it. Download the whole story again to get later chapters.
Can WP Downloader save a members-only story?
Yes, if you sign in and your TG Storytime account can already read it. WP Downloader cannot unlock content that your account cannot access.
Which format should I keep?
EPUB is free for everyone. PDF is available with a free Discord sign-in. You can keep either format for your personal reading.
Can I turn the EPUB into MOBI or AZW3?
WP Downloader does not output those formats. Add the EPUB to calibre to convert it to MOBI, AZW3, or PDF.
