How to back up stck.me stories
Authors and sites can edit, unpublish, or delete stories. WP Downloader lets you save a personal copy of a stck.me story while it is available to your account. The downloaded EPUB is a snapshot of the story at the time you saved it.
Download the stck.me story
Go to the stck.me downloader. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.
Copy the story’s stck.me URL. Each author has a separate stck.me site, and story links follow this general pattern:
https://author.stck.me/story/123/titlePaste the link into WP Downloader.
Sign in with your stck.me account when prompted. WP Downloader can fetch only the chapters your account can already read.
Choose EPUB, which is free for everyone, or PDF, which requires a free Discord sign-in.
Choose whether to include the story’s images, then download the file.
WP Downloader does not buy stories, follow authors, or unlock restricted chapters. Paid or follower-only chapters that your account cannot read remain locked and appear as notices in the downloaded book. The tool does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.
Your account credentials are used only to fetch the story you requested.

Keep the EPUB as a dated copy
An EPUB contains the version of the story that was available when you downloaded it. It will not update when the author edits the story or publishes another chapter.
Download the story again whenever you want a newer copy. Keep each downloaded copy for your own reading, and do not re-upload or share it.
Store the downloaded file
Keep the original EPUB somewhere you can find it again. If you move to another reading app or device, you can use that file to add the story again.
You can store a downloaded PDF in the same way. An EPUB can also be added to an e-book manager and converted into other formats.
Organize the EPUB with calibre
Calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can use it to organize a larger personal collection of downloaded stories.
To add a stck.me story:
- Open calibre on your computer.
- Select Add books.
- Choose the EPUB you downloaded from WP Downloader.
- Check the title, author, cover, and other metadata.
- Edit the metadata or cover if you want to make the book easier to find in your library.
Calibre includes an e-book viewer with a Read aloud feature, so you can read or listen to the story on your computer.
You can also convert the EPUB to AZW3, MOBI, or PDF. WP Downloader itself creates EPUB and PDF files, not AZW3, MOBI, or TXT. Keep the original EPUB after converting it so you still have the file you downloaded.
Move the story to an e-reader
Calibre can send books to a connected e-reader over USB. Add the EPUB to your calibre library, connect the device, and transfer the book. You can convert the EPUB first if your device needs another format.

Keep the original EPUB on your computer after transferring the reading copy. You can transfer it again if you replace or reset your e-reader.
