Add TG Storytime Stories to Your calibre Library
You can download a TG Storytime story as an EPUB with WP Downloader, add it to calibre, and then organize, convert, read, or transfer it to an e-reader.
What you need
WP Downloader is a free web tool, with nothing to install. calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
You will need:
- The TG Storytime story page
- WP Downloader
- calibre on your computer
- A USB cable if you plan to transfer the book to an e-reader
A TG Storytime story URL usually looks like this:

Download the TG Storytime story as an EPUB
Open the TG Storytime downloader and follow these steps:
- Copy the story URL from tgstorytime.com.
- Paste the URL into WP Downloader.
- Choose EPUB as the output format.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Download the finished file to your computer.
EPUB downloads are free and can be added directly to calibre. WP Downloader can also create a PDF, which requires a free Discord sign-in. Start with EPUB if you want to manage the story or convert it to another format in calibre.
You do not need a TG Storytime account for public stories. Signing in with an account from the site lets WP Downloader access members-only stories that the account can read. Account credentials are used only to fetch the requested story. WP Downloader cannot bypass paywalls, locked content, or age restrictions.

Add the EPUB to your calibre library
After the EPUB downloads:
- Open calibre on your computer.
- Select “Add books.”
- Find the downloaded EPUB file.
- Select the file and add it to your library.
The story will appear with the other books in your calibre library. You can open it in calibre’s e-book viewer to read it and check its chapters, formatting, and images.
The viewer also has a “Read aloud” feature for listening to the story on your computer.
Organize the story in calibre
Select the imported story to edit its metadata or cover. Using consistent titles and other metadata makes related books and different versions easier to find.
You can keep the original EPUB in your calibre library after creating another format. This leaves you with a source file for reading or later conversions.
Convert the story to another format
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. If you need a different format, calibre can convert the EPUB.
Select the story in calibre, open the conversion options, and choose a format. calibre can convert an EPUB to formats such as:
- AZW3
- MOBI
You do not need to convert the file if your reading device or app accepts EPUB.
Send the story to an e-reader over USB
Connect your e-reader to your computer with a USB cable. After calibre recognizes it, select the story in your library and use the option to send the book to the device.
Keep the EPUB if your device supports it. Otherwise, convert the book in calibre before transferring it.

Keep updated stories organized
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an EPUB you already have. When a TG Storytime story is updated, download the complete story again and add the new file to calibre.
You can keep both copies as separate versions or use the newer download as your current copy. Check the metadata each time so the story remains consistent with the rest of your library.
