Add The Spuffy Realm stories to calibre
To add a story from The Spuffy Realm to calibre, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and import the file with calibre’s Add books button. You can then edit its metadata and cover, convert it to another format, read it on your computer, or transfer it to a connected e-reader.
Download the story with WP Downloader
Find the story on spikeluver.com. Its address should look like this:

Add the EPUB to your calibre library
calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Once you have downloaded the EPUB:
- Open calibre on your computer.
- Select Add books.
- Choose the EPUB file downloaded by WP Downloader.
- Wait for the story to appear in your calibre library.
You can now open the story in calibre’s e-book viewer or prepare it for another device.
If you downloaded several stories, add each EPUB separately. WP Downloader creates one complete story file for each The Spuffy Realm download.
Edit the story’s metadata and cover
Select the story in calibre and open the metadata editor. From there, you can change the book information stored in your local library and edit the cover.
These changes can make stories easier to recognize and organize alongside the rest of your e-book collection. They apply only to the copy in your calibre library and do not affect the original story on The Spuffy Realm.
Convert the story for another device
calibre can convert EPUB files to other e-book formats, including AZW3, MOBI, and PDF. You may need to convert a story if your e-reader or reading app does not support EPUB.
WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. Download the EPUB, add it to calibre, and use calibre’s conversion feature if you need AZW3, MOBI, or PDF.

Transfer a story over USB
Connect your e-reader to the computer running calibre with a USB cable. You can then use calibre to send the book to the connected device.
If the device does not support EPUB, convert the story to a compatible format before transferring it. The original download will remain in your calibre library after you send a copy to the device.
Read or listen in calibre
You can read the story on your computer with calibre’s e-book viewer, so a separate e-reader is optional.

Get newly added chapters
WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. If the author publishes more chapters, copy the story URL and download the complete story again.
Add the new EPUB to calibre as a separate file. Metadata and cover changes made to the earlier library copy do not carry over to the new download.
