How to Track Quotev Stories on Goodreads or The StoryGraph

Most fanfiction and web serials are missing from the Goodreads database, and The StoryGraph may not have a Quotev story either. You can check both services after downloading the story, or keep your own reading list in calibre.

Download the Quotev story

WP Downloader is a free web tool that saves a complete Quotev story as an EPUB or PDF. You do not need to install anything or sign in to Quotev.

1. Open the Quotev downloader.
2. Copy the story’s Quotev URL. It should look like this:

https://www.quotev.com/story/1234

3. Paste the link into WP Downloader.
4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
5. Download the EPUB. For a PDF, sign in with Discord.

WP Downloader saves the whole story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list from Quotev. To get chapters added later, download the story again.

Note the title and author

Save the title and author shown on Quotev. Goodreads requires at least those two details when you add a book manually.

Keep the original Quotev link as well so you can return to the story page. The EPUB gives you a separate copy that you can add to an e-book library such as calibre.

Use Goodreads

Check whether the story already has a Goodreads entry. Most fanfiction and web serials are not in its database.

If it is missing, Goodreads may let you add it manually at goodreads.com/book/new. Your account must have a verified email and cannot be brand new. Enter at least the title and author.

Goodreads librarians handle edits and merge duplicate entries. Check for an existing record before adding the story.

Check The StoryGraph

The StoryGraph may not have the Quotev story in its database. It does not publish clear official instructions for adding works that are not books, so check its current help pages if the story is missing.

Your EPUB does not depend on either reading tracker. You can keep the file and manage it elsewhere.

Keep a private reading list in calibre

calibre is a free e-book manager for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can use its library as a private reading list when a Quotev story is missing from public databases.

After installing calibre:

1. Select Add books and choose the EPUB from WP Downloader.
2. Edit its metadata or cover if needed.
3. Read the story in calibre’s e-book viewer.
4. Use Read aloud in the viewer if you want to listen.
5. Connect an e-reader by USB to send the book to it.

calibre can convert an EPUB to formats such as AZW3, MOBI, or PDF. WP Downloader produces EPUB and PDF files, not AZW3, MOBI, or TXT.
