How to Read Wolverine & Rogue Stories on a PocketBook
To read a Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive story on a PocketBook, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and transfer the file by email or USB. You can then keep the story on your reader and open it offline.
Download the story with WP Downloader
WP Downloader is a free web tool, with nothing to install. It downloads complete stories from the Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive at wolverineandrogue.com. You do not need an archive account.
Find the story you want to read. Its URL should look like this:
https://www.wolverineandrogue.com/wrfa/viewstory.php?sid=1234 Then:
- Open the Wolverine & Rogue Fanfiction Archive downloader.
- Paste the story URL into the download box.
- Wait for WP Downloader to detect the archive and process the story.
- Choose EPUB.
- Choose whether to include the story’s images.
- Download the file to your phone or computer.
EPUB is free for everyone and works on PocketBook e-readers. WP Downloader can also create a PDF, which requires a free Discord sign-in. PocketBook readers support PDF as well, but EPUB is a straightforward choice for reading on an e-reader.
WP Downloader downloads the whole story from this archive. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories. If the author publishes more chapters, download the story again to create a new EPUB. The tool cannot update an existing file.
Support for this archive was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache-2.0.
Send the EPUB with Send-to-PocketBook
Send-to-PocketBook gives your reader a personal email address. Once you have set it up, you can email the downloaded EPUB to your PocketBook.
Set up your PocketBook address
On your PocketBook reader:
- Open Settings.
- Select Accounts and synchronization.
- Choose Send-to-PocketBook.
- Sign in and follow the setup instructions.
- Open the activation email.
- Make a note of your personal PocketBook address, which ends in @pbsync.com.
You only need to set up the account once.
Email and sync the story
Create an email on your phone or computer, attach the EPUB, and send it to your @pbsync.com address. Sync your PocketBook to receive the file.
If the story does not arrive, check whether your sending address is on the approved list. The service may ask you to whitelist it before accepting the attachment. After approving the address, send the EPUB again and sync the reader.
When the transfer finishes, open the story from your PocketBook library.
Copy the story over USB
You can also transfer the story without email. Download the EPUB to a computer, connect your PocketBook with a USB cable, and copy the file to the reader. Disconnect the device when the transfer is complete, then open the EPUB from its library.
USB transfer also works with a PDF from WP Downloader. Creating a PDF requires a free Discord sign-in, while creating an EPUB does not.
Update your offline copy
Your downloaded story stays available on the PocketBook for offline reading, but it does not change when the archive version is updated.
To get new chapters, return to the Wolverine & Rogue downloader, paste the story link again, and download a fresh copy. Transfer the new file by email or USB.
The Wolverine & Rogue download guide has more information about creating the file. Guides are also available for sending Wolverine & Rogue stories to Kindle and reading them on Kobo.
