You can read a TONFA: The Original Naruto Fanfic Archive story on a Barnes & Noble NOOK by downloading it as an EPUB, then copying the file to the NOOK over USB. Barnes & Noble calls copying your own files to a NOOK “sideloading.”

Download the TONFA story as an EPUB

WP Downloader is a free web tool, and you do not need to install anything. It can turn a complete story from TONFA at narutofic.org into an EPUB for offline reading.

1. Find the story on TONFA.
2. Copy its URL from your browser.
3. Open the TONFA downloader.
4. Paste the URL into the box.
5. Choose EPUB as the output format.
6. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
7. Download the EPUB to your computer.

WPD downloads the whole story from TONFA. It cannot download a single chapter or a list of stories from this archive. If the author adds chapters later, download the story again to create a new EPUB. WPD cannot add the chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded.

Signing in to TONFA

Signing in to TONFA through WP Downloader is optional. It lets WPD download a members-only story when your TONFA account already has access to it.

WPD uses your account credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass locked content, paywalls, or age restrictions, and it only downloads material that your account can already read.

TONFA support, along with support for the other fiction archives available through WPD, was ported from FanFicFare. FanFicFare is an open-source fanfiction downloader released under the Apache-2.0 license.

Copy the EPUB to your NOOK

After saving the EPUB to your computer, connect your NOOK GlowLight and copy the file over USB.

1. Connect the NOOK to your computer with a USB cable.
2. On a newer model, swipe down from the top of the NOOK screen.
3. Tap “USB for charging.”
4. Choose “Transfer files (MTP).”
5. On your computer, open the drive named “NOOK.”
6. Drag the downloaded EPUB onto the NOOK drive.
7. Eject the NOOK from your computer.
8. Unplug the USB cable.

Eject the NOOK before unplugging it so the computer can finish transferring the file.

The complete story is now stored on your NOOK, so you can read it without returning to TONFA or staying connected to the internet.

Get new chapters

WP Downloader creates an EPUB from the story as it appears when you download it. It does not watch the archive for updates or add chapters to a file already on your NOOK.

When a story is updated, paste its TONFA link into WPD again and download a new EPUB. Copy the new file to your NOOK with the same USB steps.
