How to Read TONFA Stories Offline on a Flight

To read a story from TONFA: The Original Naruto Fanfic Archive during a flight, download it before you leave. Save the file to the device or reading app you plan to use, then check that it opens in airplane mode.

Download the TONFA story before your flight

Use WP Downloader while your phone, tablet, or computer is still connected to the internet.

1. Open the story on narutofic.org.
2. Copy its story URL. It should look similar to this:

3. Open the TONFA downloader.
4. Paste the story link into the box.
5. Choose EPUB or PDF.
6. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
7. Download the finished file to your device.

EPUB is free for everyone. Creating a PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. WP Downloader is a web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

WP Downloader downloads complete TONFA stories. It does not download individual chapters or lists from this archive. TONFA support was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader.

You can download public stories without signing in. Signing in with your narutofic.org account gives WP Downloader access to members-only stories that your account can already read. It cannot bypass membership requirements, paywalls, age restrictions, or other locked content.

Choose a format and device

The format you need depends on where you want to read.

Phone or tablet

Choose EPUB if your reading app supports EPUB books. Its text can adjust to fit the screen.

Choose PDF if you prefer fixed pages or already use a PDF reader. WP Downloader requires a free Discord sign-in to create a PDF.

Open the downloaded file in your chosen reading app before you leave. This confirms that the app can find and display the book.

Kindle app or Kindle e-reader

Download the story as EPUB or PDF, then send it to your Kindle while you still have an internet connection. Amazon’s Send to Kindle service accepts both formats and converts EPUB files for your Kindle library.

You can send the file:

• By email to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address
• Through the Send to Kindle app
• Through Send to Kindle on the web

When sending by email, use an address on your approved sender list. Wait for the book to appear in your Kindle library, then download it to the Kindle or Kindle app you will use during the flight.

Kobo

Download the EPUB and put it on your Kobo before your trip. Open the book once before you leave to make sure it is ready. The TONFA Kobo guide has more detailed instructions.

Laptop

Save the EPUB or PDF on the laptop itself. Make sure you have an app that opens the selected format, then test the file before the flight.

Test everything in airplane mode

Before leaving, turn on airplane mode and open the story on the device and app you will use during the flight.

Check that:

• The story opens without a connection
• The expected chapters are present
• Any included images display
• The file is stored on the device
• A Kindle copy has finished downloading

An EPUB or PDF stored on your device opens without Wi-Fi. Testing it in advance gives you time to download or transfer the story again if something is missing.

WP Downloader does not add new chapters to an existing EPUB. If the author publishes more chapters, download the story again to create a new file with the chapters then available.
