Download the story before your flight

WP Downloader is a free web tool, and there is nothing to install. Use it while you still have an internet connection:

2. Copy the story URL. It should look like this:

7. Download the file and save it somewhere you can easily find it.

WP Downloader downloads the whole story from this archive. It cannot download a single chapter or a story list.

You do not need to sign in for public stories. If a story is available only to members, you can sign in with your Criminal Minds Fic Archive account. Choose a file for your device

WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. For a Kindle, download an EPUB or PDF and send it through Amazon’s Send to Kindle service before your flight.

• On a phone or tablet, save the file to the device and open it in an app that supports EPUB or PDF.
• On a Kindle e-reader or in the Kindle app, use Send to Kindle while you still have an internet connection.
• On a Kobo, transfer the downloaded file before leaving and follow the Kobo reading guide.

Open the file on the device and in the app you plan to use during the flight. A file left on a browser download page or in an online service may not be available without a connection.

Send the story to Kindle before you leave

Amazon’s Send to Kindle accepts EPUB and PDF files. You can deliver a file by emailing it to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address, using the Send to Kindle app, or using the Send to Kindle website.

Amazon converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library. It can then appear on Kindle e-readers and in the Kindle app. Delivery requires an internet connection, so send the file before your flight.

When sending a file by email, use an address on your approved sender list. Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI files.

Test the story in airplane mode

Check the file before you leave:

1. Open the downloaded story on your phone, tablet, Kindle, or Kobo.
2. Make sure it has loaded in the app you plan to use.
3. Turn on airplane mode.
4. Close the story and open it again.
5. Move through several parts of the book to make sure they remain available.

If the story opens in airplane mode, it is stored on your device. If it does not, reconnect to the internet and finish downloading, transferring, or delivering the file.

WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. When the story gains another chapter, download it again to get the updated version.
