How to Read Stories of Arda on a Barnes & Noble NOOK

To read a Stories of Arda story on a Barnes & Noble NOOK, download the story as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to your NOOK over USB. EPUB downloads are free, and you do not need a Stories of Arda account.

What you need

Have these ready:

• A computer with access to WP Downloader
• Your NOOK and its USB cable

WP Downloader is a web tool, so you do not need to install anything. For Stories of Arda, it downloads the whole story rather than one chapter or a list.

Step 1: Download the Stories of Arda story

Open the Stories of Arda downloader, then:

1. Copy the story link from storiesofarda.com.
2. Paste it into the box on WP Downloader.
3. Wait while WP Downloader detects the site and prepares the story.
4. Choose EPUB as the output format.
5. If you want the story’s images in the book, turn on the option to include them.
6. Save the EPUB to your computer.

EPUB is free for everyone and is the format used in this guide. WP Downloader can also make a PDF after you sign in with Discord for free. It does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

Step 2: Connect your NOOK

Barnes & Noble calls copying your own files to a NOOK “sideloading.”

Connect your NOOK GlowLight to the computer with its USB cable. It should appear as a drive named “NOOK.”

On newer NOOK models, enable file transfer before continuing:

1. Swipe down from the top of the NOOK screen.
2. Tap “USB for charging.”
3. Choose “Transfer files (MTP).”

Your computer can now access the NOOK.

Step 3: Copy the EPUB to your NOOK

Find the EPUB you downloaded, open the NOOK drive on your computer, and drag the file onto the device.

Wait until the copy finishes. Eject the NOOK from your computer before unplugging the USB cable. The sideloaded story is then ready to read on your NOOK.

Getting newly added chapters

WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB already stored on your NOOK. When the story gains new chapters, paste its link into WP Downloader again and download a fresh EPUB of the whole story.

Copy the new file to your NOOK using the same USB steps.
