Read a SquidgeWorld Story on a Barnes & Noble NOOK
To read a SquidgeWorld Archive story on a Barnes & Noble NOOK, download the story as an EPUB with WP Downloader and copy the file to the device. WP Downloader is free and runs in your browser, with nothing to install.
Download the SquidgeWorld story as an EPUB
Find the story on squidgeworld.org. Its URL should look like this:
https://squidgeworld.org/works/123456 Copy the full URL and open the SquidgeWorld downloader. Paste the URL into the box, and WP Downloader will detect that it comes from SquidgeWorld Archive.
Select EPUB as the output format. EPUB downloads are free for everyone, and you can choose whether to include the story’s images.
WP Downloader downloads the whole story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list from SquidgeWorld Archive. If the author publishes more chapters, download the story again to create an updated EPUB. The tool cannot add chapters to an EPUB you already downloaded.
You do not need to sign in for public stories. If you sign in with your SquidgeWorld Archive account, WP Downloader can also fetch members-only stories that the account can read. It uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested and does not bypass access restrictions.

Connect your NOOK to your computer
Barnes & Noble calls copying your own files to a NOOK “sideloading.” Connect your NOOK GlowLight to your computer with a USB cable.
On newer NOOK models, change the USB setting so the computer can access the device:
- Swipe down from the top of the NOOK screen.
- Tap “USB for charging.”
- Choose “Transfer files (MTP).”
The device should appear on your computer as a drive named “NOOK.”
Copy the EPUB to your NOOK
Find the EPUB you downloaded with WP Downloader. Open the NOOK drive and drag the EPUB file onto it.
Wait for the transfer to finish, then eject the NOOK from your computer before unplugging the cable. The SquidgeWorld story will appear on the NOOK as a sideloaded book.
