How to Read SquidgeWorld Stories in the Kindle App

To read a SquidgeWorld Archive story in the Kindle app, download it as an EPUB with WP Downloader and send the file to your Kindle library. WP Downloader is a free web tool, so you do not need to install anything.

Download the SquidgeWorld story as an EPUB

Copy the story URL from squidgeworld.org. A SquidgeWorld Archive story link looks like this:

Then:

1. Open the SquidgeWorld downloader.
2. Paste the full story link into the box.
3. Choose EPUB as the output format.
4. Choose whether to include the story’s images.
5. Download the EPUB to your phone or tablet.

EPUB downloads are free for everyone. WP Downloader can also create a PDF with a free Discord sign-in. Amazon’s Send to Kindle accepts EPUB and PDF, but this guide uses EPUB.

WP Downloader downloads the whole SquidgeWorld story. It cannot download a single chapter or a list. If the author adds more chapters, download the story again to create a new EPUB. WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an EPUB you already have.

Download members-only stories

You do not need a SquidgeWorld Archive account to download public stories. You can sign in with your SquidgeWorld account to reach members-only stories that the account can already read.

WP Downloader uses your account credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass age restrictions or other access controls, and it downloads only the content available to your account.

SquidgeWorld Archive support was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader.

Send the EPUB to your Kindle library

The EPUB will not appear in the Kindle app until you send it to Amazon through Send to Kindle. You can:

• Upload the EPUB on the Send to Kindle website.
• Use the Send to Kindle app.
• Email the EPUB to your Kindle’s Send-to-Kindle address.

Files sent by email must come from an approved sender address. Amazon converts the EPUB and adds the book to your Kindle library.

Send to Kindle no longer accepts MOBI files. WP Downloader does not create MOBI or AZW3 files, so use EPUB for this process. For detailed instructions, see the Send to Kindle guide or the guide to sending SquidgeWorld stories to Kindle.

Open the story in the Kindle app

After Amazon converts the EPUB and adds it to your library:

1. Open the Kindle app on your phone or tablet.
2. Go to your Kindle library.
3. Find the SquidgeWorld story.
4. Open it and start reading.

The converted book can also appear in your library on a Kindle e-reader, so you can read the same story on your phone, tablet, or Kindle device.

For another story, copy its SquidgeWorld work URL, download a new EPUB with WP Downloader, and send it to Kindle.
